Contact
Email hello@motily.app for anything: a bug, a question about the science, a data request, or a feature you wish existed. Inside the app, Profile, then Send feedback, attaches your app version and a screenshot if you choose one, which makes bugs much faster to fix.
Delete your account and data
You can delete your Motily account, and everything tied to it, at any time and at no cost. This page is also where to ask for deletion if you no longer have the app or can't sign in. Motily is made by Motily Ltd.
In the app
- Open Motily and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account. You can also go to Profile, then Privacy and data, then Delete my data: it's the same step.
- Read the list of what will be deleted, type DELETE in the box, and tap Delete everything.
Deletion is immediate and can't be undone. If you'd only like a break, tap Log out instead and everything stays safe for when you come back.
Without the app
Email bosco@motily.app from the email address your account uses, with the subject "Delete my Motily account". We'll delete the account and all its data by hand and reply to confirm when it's done, usually within a few days and always within one month. If you can't send from that address (for example, you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email), say so, and we'll check the account is yours before deleting anything.
What is deleted, and what is kept
Deleted straight away: your account and sign-in, your quiz and intimate health answers, every daily check-in and score, streaks and badges, your settings, semen analysis entries and uploaded report files, your profile photo and handle, your Community posts, replies, photos, likes, saves and follows, your league, crew, friend and wingman records, nudges, your partner link and anything your partner shared through it, your Premium purchase records, and any feedback and screenshots you sent.
What can outlast deletion, and for how long: our database host's routine backups may hold a copy for a short period until they expire. Crash reports and usage events already sent expire on their own schedules (90 days for crash reports, up to a year for usage events) and are tied only to an account id that no longer exists. Reports other people filed about your content stay in our moderation records, with nothing in them that links to you. A PDF summary you exported yourself stays wherever you saved or sent it. The privacy policy has the full detail.
If you pay for Premium
Deleting your account doesn't cancel a monthly Premium subscription, because Apple bills it. Cancel it first in your iPhone's Settings (tap your name, then Subscriptions), or in Motily under Profile, then Motily Premium, then Manage subscription. A lifetime purchase stays with your Apple ID: if you make a new Motily account later, Restore purchases brings it back.
Launch notes
- Motily is on iPhone, from the App Store. An Android version for Google Play is coming soon. If you tested Motily through TestFlight, install the App Store version and sign in with the same email; your account, streak and history carry over.
- When the Android version is out, an account made with Continue with Apple on an iPhone won't be able to sign in on Android. You will need to make a new account there with Google or email.
- If the app crashes, a crash report goes to Sentry (EU) without any of your answers in it. Emailing what you were doing at the time helps a lot.
- Apple Health prefill needs permission for sleep and workouts; you can revoke it in Settings, then Health, then Data Access.
If something in the app looks wrong
A score that seems off, a phase label that doesn't match your day, or a semen analysis value shown against the wrong limit: send a screenshot. Every number in Motily is an estimate built from what you logged, and the fastest way to find a mistake is to see the screen you saw.
If you're worried about your health
Motily can't help with that, and it says so plainly. Talk to a GP, a urologist or a fertility specialist. The NHS infertility page is a good place to start in the UK. Motily gives information and habit support, not medical advice, and it can't promise an outcome.
